ASEAN Plastics Packaging & Recycling Technologies Summit

The 2023 ASEAN Plastics Packaging and Recycling Technologies Summit, held from October 26–27 in Manila, served as a platform for international and Philippine-based industry experts to convene and discuss the latest trends and advancements in plastic packaging production and recycling. This hybrid conference emerged as an optimal setting, providing industry professionals with an opportunity to gain insights into cutting-edge packaging design and production techniques from renowned experts in the field. 

Among the distinguished speakers at the summit were PPIA President Aaron Lao, Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP) representative Joseph Jocson, Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Materials Sustainability (PARMS) representative Bert Guevarra, a representative from DOW Chemical, and a representative from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Together, they engaged in discussions covering a range of topics related to plastic regulations, Extended Producer Responsibility, and strategies for enhancing the recyclability and sustainability of plastic packaging.
