The Philippine Plastics Industry Association, Inc. (PPIA) stands as an esteemed member of the Solid Waste Management Board within the National Capital Region (NCR). In adherence to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9003, otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, every city and municipality is mandated to establish a City or Municipal Waste Management Board. These governing bodies are tasked with the formulation, submission, and diligent execution of comprehensive plans dedicated to the safe and sanitary management of solid waste generated within the boundaries of their respective geographical and political jurisdictions.
