The MMDA with Woodfields Consultant, Inc. (WCI), organized the "May Pera Sa Basura" project in the City of Manila in collaboration with the United Recyclers Organization of the Philippines (UROP).

Honorable Mayor Honey Lacuna attended the event together with the UROP, DPS Manila, MMDA and Representatives from the different barangays near the event location. This project is related to the MMDA's Metro Manila Flood Management project.

UROP Team (PPCP, PPIA, Sentinel and Tetra Pack) set up booth for exhibit during the event. Recyclables from Manila residents will be accepted by the Polytrader in exchange for cash from 9 AM to 2 PM. This program aims to help the LGUs to reduce waste, practice segregation and educate the people about the importance of proper waste disposal.
