PPIA supports PARMS' Zero Waste to Nature, Ambisyon 2030 (ZWTN 2030) program, designed to divert waste away from landfills and the natural environment. The goal is to enhance the value of materials and resources by promoting practices like reusing and recycling, ultimately preventing industrial and post-consumer packaging waste generated by PARMS members from reaching natural habitats by 2030.
The United Recyclers Organization of the Philippines (UROP) is an industry association representing recyclers of plastic products and packaging. This group is comprised of the Philippine Plastics Industry Association, Inc. (PPIA), the Polystyrene Packaging Council of the Philippines (PPCP), and Tetra Pak Philippines. UROP collaborates with local government units to facilitate the collection of both traditional and non-traditional wastes, including paper (newspaper, books, magazines, cartons, milk boxes), plastics (PET bottles, rigids, plastic sando bags, styro), metals (copper wire, scrap iron, tin, and aluminum cans), and glass (bottles) through redemption programs.
